We love our school and we hope you will too! Maxwellton Primary and Nursery is a friendly, busy and vibrant school where children learn in a fun, supportive and happy environment. We are a caring, nurturing and inclusive community and our children are at the heart of everything that we do. We believe that our children deserve the very best and we aim to support them to achieve, attain and succeed as individuals but also as part of Team Maxi. We want all of our children to Let Their True Colours Shine!
We firmly believe that we get the best out of our children and help them reach their full potential if we work together as a team with our families. Please do not hesitate to contact me as first point of contact, through our school e-mail marked for my attention: office@maxwellton-pri.s-lanark.sch.ukor by phone on 01355 222 521. You can also send us a letter or make an appointment to discuss any queries you may have. We will endeavour to get back to you on the same day, but if not, no more than two days later.
Please get in touch if you would like more information about our wonderful school!

My name is Mrs Lipp and I'm delighted to be teaching P3 this year. I have many years of experience in teaching and have taught in Maxwellton since 1996! I especially enjoy teaching French so we will be talking, singing and playing lots of games in French this year.
My name is Mr Little. This is my first year as a newly qualified teacher. I am very excited for the year of learning ahead and can’t wait to help all children be the best learners they can be.
My name is Ms Short, and I am really looking forward to getting to know the children in my class and teaching Primary 5 this year. There are lots of interesting things to learn at this stage and I am sure the children will bring a lot to the learning.
My name is Mr Dalling. I am a former dairy farmer turned teacher. I’ve been an area cover teacher in South Lanarkshire for 7 years now after
doing my probation year up in the Highlands. I’m looking forward to teaching your children this school year.
My name is Miss Barrett and I have the privilege of teaching Primary 7 this year! I am looking forward to having a fantastic year of fun and
learning with your children. I hope that they are excited for the new responsibilities that P7 brings and face new challenges with enthusiasm!
